Gravity Feed Conveyors
Gravity Feed Conveyors
We offer a wide range of gravity conveyors, ranging from a simple light duty model, up to a heavy duty range.
Conveyors can be supplied as any combination of fixed sections or mobile units (expandable or telescopic), depending on application.
With a choice of both plastic & steel rollers, and skate wheels for light duty systems, and a wide range of accessories Merlin can implement any conveyor system to meet exacting customer requirements.
Fixed Gravity Track
The quiet running fixed gravity track system provides the means of transporting loads of up to 50kg per metre (33 lb per foot). The system is available with a choice of 3 track widths and 3 roller pitches, giving complete flexibility to suit any application.
As well as the wide range of sizes, the system is available with high-impact plastic rollers, plastic "skate" wheels or extra heavy duty steel rollers. Exceptionally low inertia in the design means that big gradients are not needed for the system to function efficiently.
With a choice of steel or aluminium frames, 45 and 90 degree bends, epoxy coating, stainless steel bearings, side rails and scissor-jack height adjustment you can specify a Kaybe gravity track for virtually any application.
Telescopic Gravity Roller Track
The Telescopic Gravity Roller Track is designed for loading or unloading at variable distances, and as such is ideal for transferring loads between vehicles, or for use in warehouse and production areas.
Available in two standard widths, 450mm (18") and 600mm (24"), the track is capable of carrying loads up to 50kg per metre (33lb per foot). This unit can be supplied in 2-, 3- or 4-section versions. An ideal extension to any Kaybe conveying system, the telescopic unit has scissor-jack adjustable height 'H' section supports and heavy-duty castors.
An important design feature is the use of steel rollers where force will most be experienced, at the ends of sections, thus reducing wear & tear.

Lorry Loaders and Unloaders
Lorry Loaders and Unloaders
Merlin supplies a wide range of mobile vehicle loaders & telescopic boom Dock loaders to suit all types of applications.
Which a choice of 3 standard belt widths, and a varied combination of infeed and main boom lengths, the correct model can be defined for all applications. In addition, made to measure units can be manufactured to customers individual requirements.
Health and safety features common to all the range include finger guards, a mushroom headed stop button and a specially designed machine drum, smaller than the belt width, so that fingers cannot be trapped easily. Each model is rated to carry 100Kg per metre (67 lb per foot) with a maximum spread load of 350kg (770 lb). power is supplied by a fixed-speed 1/2HP single-phase 240V AC motor, controlled via Forward/Stop/Reverse controls located on the main chassis. Other options are available on request.
In vehicle loading applications an optional gravity expandable "tongue" accessory can be attached to the end of the main boom, giving access deep inside the vehicle. Other accessories available for this range include adjustable side guards, hydraulic infeed table lifts and electro-hydraulic controls.
Mobile Loaders
The standard range of Mobile Powered Loaders which includes 45 permutations -can be supplied with an epoxy resin finish or food grade belt for food handling applications.
Vehicle & Tongue
The Penetrator is a vehicle loader, which has a special telescopic belt allowing loading or unloading to take place with continual adjustment of penetration depth.
The Penetrator is designed to handle loads weighing as much as 5OKg per metre (331b per foot), on its 600mm (24") wide belt, and is normally supplied with a fixed speed single-phase 1 HP motor. The standard motor drives the belt at 21 metres (70') per minute and is designed to start under full load if needed. An optional variable-speed drive controller is also available.
Because of its compact design, the Penetrator can be moved and stored by one person, when not in use. This is made easy by the four 200mm (8") heavy- duty lockable nylon castors. The single- phase drive motor can be plugged into a normal 240VAC 13A socket.
The Maxi-Penetrator is a mobile vehicle loader, which incorporates a flexible telescopic continuous-belt system. Controls located at each end allow loading or unloading to be undertaken with continuous adjustment to penetration up to 10 metres inside the vehicle.
Dockloaders can be fixed or mobile and conform to stringent safety standards. Robust and reliable the Dockloaders will start fully loaded with controls & emergency stops at either end.
